It's YOUR PLACE - Community Conversations

Welcome! We've launched our new, transformative approach to public engagement with a chance to share your thoughts.

We want to find out what's important to you, what your community cares about and what makes your place unique and special.

Thank you to everyone who came along to one of the Community Conversations we held across the district in October. We've written up summaries of the sessions and emailed them out to all participants and published them on the 'Documents' section of this page.

Council is working on our next Long Term Plan and how we prioritise our projects. We're also looking at the stories that connect our people and what it means to be 'Waitaki'. We need your help to do this.

We're asking all of Waitaki for your thoughts - whether you live here, own property here, do business here, holiday here, or just drive through here to someplace else.

This community engagement hub is one of the first changes we're rolling out as part of Council's Transformation Programme and it's only the beginning. We're going to be getting better at online and better at face-to-face. Better at listening and collaborating with you.
